Facebook App Center for Android Apps Launching Very Soon

Facebook has finally launched their App Center “to make it easier to find apps you can enjoy with friends”, and there isn’t an android app specifically for that, you use your Facebook app only.

Featuring over 600 apps, the App Center gives you personalized recommendations, and lets you browse the apps your friends use. The App Center will be accessible from the Facebook website, and also through Facebook’s app for Android (and iOS). The “Send to mobile” feature will let you send links to apps to your phone, which will then take you to the respective app page on Google’s Play Store so you can download them.

It’s rumored that the apps shown in App Center will be those that have Facebook integrated in them in some way, which is probably how friend-based recommendations will be shown. The App Center will be live in the US first, with worldwide availability to follow soon.

Of course, App Center isn’t really an app store in the true sense, but instead will only be recommending and featuring apps that already exist for Android (again, for iOS users as well). Let’s see what the future has in store for App Center. Stay tuned for more info!
