Expected Xiaomi Redmi 2 Benchmarks!

Redmi 2 Benchmarks

We know some of you are amazed by Xiaomi Redmi 2, and why not, given the specs it’s packing in for the price of just $110. A 64-bit 1.6GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor with A53 cortex structure along with improved Adreno 306 GPU in low segment device is really year 2015 stuff. Now, some of you might be hunting the Internet to get an idea of Redmi 2 benchmarks, because you really wanna know what this combination of CPU and GPU means in terms of performance. Well, some good news for you.

While we can’t test the device because it’s not launched yet, but good news is that since Desire 510 from HTC uses exactly same units, we can look at its benchmark results to gain an idea of Redmi 2 benchmarks. That said, while Desire 510’s CPU was clocked at 1.2GHz, that of Xiaomi Redmi 2 is at 1.6GHz, so there should be some performance improvement because of that.

But then agian, Desire 510’s display was a poorer one, with resolution of just 854 x 480 pixels, compared to Redmi 2’s 720 display, 1280 x 720 pixels, which should result in a bit lower performance, nearly setting off the improvement by extra 400 MHz in clock rate.

We think Desire 510 is a good indicator of performance we could expect from Redmi 2. Moreover, when Redmi 2 gets the Lollipop update — no word right now, fyi — the performance of its 64-bit would improve noticeably.
