You need to get adb running first.
    1. Go to https://developer.amazon.com/sdk/fire/connect-adb.html
    2. Follow those directions to get ADB up and running
    3. You know it works when you run “adb devices” and your Kindle Fire HD device shows up on the list
    4. Finally, run RootQemu
