Easily Root Asus Transformer with Universal Tool

The Asus Transformer got the official OTA (Over the Air) update to Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS ) Android 4.0 a few days ago, and now XDA member rhcp0112345 has come up with a new method to get permanent root access on the ICS firmware. Not only that, but the tool is universal so you can get root access on both the Transformer TF101 and the Transformer Prime TF201.

The original method is only compatible with Mac and Linux, but was adapted for Windows by XDA member chan32167 so that even Windows users can make use of it. The Windows version is pretty simple and only involves connecting your Transformer to the computer, executing the run.bat file and then following on-screen instructions. The Mac and Linux version requires the editing of a file prior to running the tool, but other than that, there are no other steps a user has to take than the ones mentioned for the Windows version.

So those looking to root their Transformer on the ICS firmware can head over to the original development page to get more info on the tool and to download it. Share your thoughts on it in the comments.
