Droid Razr HD Nenamark Benchmark Score

You know what’s so cool about this benchmark app called Nenamark? It tells you about the new devices and almost confirms some specs as regards CPU and GPU, as also the phone’s name. The so called treatment has just been afforded to Motorola Droid Razr HD, which we just saw in (leaked) pics only couple of hours ago.

The above pic is the Nenamark score of the Droid Razr HD (as the score sheet itself says) and that it houses a Qualcomm Adreno (TM) 225 GPU chip. Well, for this moment, that’s a jargon for dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor which uses that chip. It also confirms the clock rate of 1.5GHz.

Also, the screen resolution of 1196 x 720 pixels from the score confirms the use of an HD display, and also confirms that there are on-screen buttons, which is why the display is cut from 1280 x 720 to 1196 x 720 – the on-screen keys eating the difference. You’ve probably already seen that happening with Galaxy Nexus.

So, it’s the same processor that powers all Galaxy S3 sets at Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and US Cellular – though, these Galaxy S3 have massive 2GB of RAM – and is the same processor used in HTC One S.

The S4 processor has already proven it’s no slouch and can go toe-to-toe easily when thrown against even the quad-core processors from Samsung and Nvidia, so we will be happy with that in Droid Razr HD too. The 1GB RAM can be taken for granted, but if there is any surprise – like, 1.5GB RAM (from rumored Galaxy Note 2) or 2GB RAM – that would be simply awesome. And Motorola should add that, because Samsung has already done that and Moto won’t want to launch a device that not only not the best specs-wise but lags behind the best in the market for 2 months or more by the time it launches the Droid Razr HD.

With all that we have come to know from above and earlier leaked pics, here’s an Specs overview of Motorola Droid Razr HD:

  • Android 4.0, with default ICS on-screen keys setup retained
  • 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor
  • 1280 x 720 pixels HD display, probably a Super AMOLED one
  • 4G LTE
  • HDMI support
  • External MicroSD card support

The display is said to be an amazing one, and also a beautiful one too, but we don’t know anything else yet. Our bet is on Super AMOLED HD display (same as in Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S3), because Droid Razr series stands for super slim devices and Super AMOLED allows you to do the best in that regard. Motorola used Super AMOLED for the first time with Razr series only, btw.

Lastly, Droid Razr HD is expected to be released in 5-8 weeks time.
