Download LG G3 Marshmallow KDZ (30B) and TWRP Flashable ROM ZIPs

LG is finally rolling out the much awaited Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the 2014 flagship from the Korean manufacturer, the LG G3.

The update is coming for the international LG G3 D855 variant first, and @utoprime over Twitter has already shared full KDZ firmware for the update along with TWRP recovery flashable System, Modem and Boot for the Marshmallow firmware.

The LG G3 Marshmallow update is coming with software version 30B. You can either grab the full KDZ firmware at the download link below and flash it manually using our detailed step-by-step guide (also linked below).

In case you don’t have access to a computer and would rather prefer to install the LG G3 Marshmallow update via TWRP recovery, then luckily for you, autoprime, has also packaged the update into TWRP recovery flashable zips with separate system, modem and boot partition zips.

In addition to the system, modem and boot partitions from the G3 Marshmallow 30B firmware, you also need to flash the latest Sharpening MOD by Skin1980 via the recovery to get Marshmallow running on your G3.

Grab the custom recovery flashable LG G3 Marshmallow ROM files from the link below and follow the simple installation instructions.

  3. Perform a Factory reset from the recovery.
└ In case you’re running a fully stock Lollipop firmware (without root). You may skip the factory reset.
  4. Now flash the System, Modem and Boot zip files you transferred to your G3 in Step 1 above via the TWRP recovery Install menu.
  5. Flash the Sharpening MOD, and select any level of sharpening when asked. It’s required that you do this.
  6. Reboot your G3.

That’s all. Your LG G3 should now be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow 30B update. Cheers!

    1. @harmeet As you are supposed to wipe dalvik, cache and data, all your files should be deleted.
Could try dirty flashing, but I don’t know if that will work.

  2. the kdz file is compatible with both 32gb and 16 gb version ????

I lost my IMEI after follow your tutorial for update my D855 to Marshmaollow, I was in KitKat 4.4.2, Software version V10b, Kernel Version 3.4.0 and Compilation number KVT49L.A1402485356. I followed your tutorial but after reboot in MarshMallow the phone lost its IMEI. I did a full nandroid backup of my original rom and a separated backup of my EFS Folder, but there is no way to recover the IMEI flashing them. Can you help me?

    1. I can help you. I had the same problem with mine. I restored android 5.0.1 lollipop back on with TWRP it and and re flashed the right modem file to it and bam it worked. Don’t use the above software. it will crash your phone!
