HTC One M8 Drivers Installation

NOTE: Delete any previously installed drivers for HTC One M8 from your PC before installing the new drivers.

  1. Run the “HTC_Driver_4.10.0.001.exe” file you downloaded above and follow the on-screen installation instructions to install the driver
  2. Similarly, install HTC BMP USB Driver file suitable for your installation of Windows (32-bit or 64-bit? Check in “My computer” properties)
  3. Once you’ve installed both the driver files, connect your HTC One M8 to your computer. It should connect properly now.
    └ In case it still doesn’t connects, try restarting your PC.

    I use an old HTC USB cable at work with my new M8 and it worked fine. However the cable’s got a tear so I brought a newer (non HTC) cable from home, it charges fine but I could not longer use the phone as a USB device.

    Swapped back to the knackered old cable and voila, Windows recognises the phone… I don’t understand how these things work but that did the trick at least…

      the usb cable have 2 type :-
      1. usb cable for charging only.
      2. usb cable for charging & data transfer.
