Google I/O attendees who got a hand to try out the new Android wear weren’t able to use the Navigation commands properly. The command weren’t recognized by the phone. Now, Google have updated the Google Maps app to v8.1.1, which brings full support for Android Wear.
The Android Wear navigation is now working fine, along with all the other Android Wear device commands. You can now search for places, see directions and navigate, right from your Android Wear watch.
The Google Maps v8.1.1 update has already begun rolling out and it should reach you soon via Play Store. However, if you’d like to get the update right away, grab the Google Maps APK from the link below and install it normally like you’d install any other apk file.
