Devil May Cry 4: Refrain coming to Android. Only in Japan for now, though.

The latest edition in the Devil May Cry hack and slash series, Devil May Cry 4 Refrain was originally promised by Sony for Xperia Play users. And finally, thanks to the efforts of Android game platform G-Gee, DMC4 Refrain has now made its way to customers using Android devices.

Currently, the game is only available in Japan, which is G-Gee’s home market. For those of you who are not familiar with the Devil May Cry franchise, the game involves controlling the two main characters, Nero and Dante  as they fight enemies in close combat using firearms, swords, and other weapons, in their quest to eliminate all demonic activity in the fictional world.

The story is told primarily through a mixture of cutscenes, which use the game’s engine and several pre-rendered full motion videos. DMC4 has two difficulty modes, Normal and Easy. As we mentioned earlier, the game is currently available only in Japan, but XDA member ozzmanj1 seems to have found a way to get a copy of DMC4 Refrain even if you’re not located in Japan, and don’t want to wait for the official worldwide release. It’s gonna cost you about $7 though, but if you’re a fan then it should be worth it.

Here’s a short video clip for you to get a feel of how DMC4 Refrain looks like and plays out on the Xperia Play.
