Launched last year, Sony Xperia X Performance sports 5 inch Full HD curved glass edge with a metal back. Under the hood, there’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM which can be expanded further via a microSd card.

On the imaging front, the phone flaunts a 23MP rear camera and a 13MP selfie snapper. It runs Android 6.0 and is powered by a 2700mAh non removable battery with Quick Charge support. Other features include IP68 rating which makes it water and dust proof. Sadly, it lacks fingerprint scanner.

  1. Even in US not a good time to buy this year old device at the current price since devices like Mi6 which offer much better specs may make their way to there in next month or so!!

    1. Xiaomi phones aren’t available for purchase in retail at USA. They will have to import it which really defeats the purpose.

    2. Bro, I made that comment 6 days ago, I didn’t know at the time that Xiaomi is entering US in 2019 that’s why I said that as a possibility, besides it’s really funny that u think this phone is worth buying for 368$ when the OnePlus 3 or ZTE Axon 7 is available in US for less than 400$

    3. Actually, I never really said it’s worth buying this phone. (:

  2. The Importing charges will lead it to cost more that the rate shown on the title 😐 Next time could you also mention the final pricing after importing to india ?

  5. I used to be a big fan of the Xperia phones. Last xperia I had was the xperia SP. Was plagued by really bad touchscreen issues. Multiple repairs later, still the same. Several users had the same problem. Sony didn’t even issue a proper statement. And their flagships always miss that special something these days.

    1. IKR Sony phones used to have a standard those days especially for its music and the Camera and I think they were one of the first to implement dust and water resistance too.The SP was a well sought after phone .I recently restored an SP for my friend and noticed the really bad quality touch. The light band is a beaut but the touch was horrible and moreover it heated up a lot !

    2. The cameras were great before. I had an xperia ray, that lil bugger worked brilliantly and a pretty good camera. But the SP had a bloody VGA as its front camera. That was downright embarassing. And yeah heating was a serious problem. There was one time when I plugged it in. After 4 hours,it stayed at zero and had heated up like crazy. Thought it was about to bloody explode. Literally stuffed it into the freezer at home.
      Loved the light band though.
And sony used to enforce the strict EU restrictions on its audio output which seriously lowered the volume.

    3. I had to wrap my friends phone in a plastic bag and drop it into the freezer . After the whole rooting and installing the custom ROM the phone was so hot it hurt to touch the back .I put it in for like 10 minutes and took it out and it was still hot .I really liked that phone but I’m glad I didn’t spend money on it.

    4. Pretty bad decision on my part. But I was misguided by the positive reviews. And one nice thing about it was it had a really good developer community over at XDA.

    5. Sony is still following the Samsung mantra of old. All their smartphones from lower mid range to flagship look identical design wise, except the color or the power button.

    6. lol Exactly mate! Its high time they went back to the drawing board!

    7. Hopefully they realise it, before their stocks plummet any lower!

    8. Yeah,if they could just take a few steps back! I know they can be amazing again!

  6. I have not seen an Xperia camera with an Image Stabilisation, maybe they don’t offer that, or it does not work well, like at all. The Xperia cameras are all really good, and all other manufacturers still use their sensors, but a little shake of the hands, and the pic goes from awesome to crap, just like that. I still have a Xperial T2 ultra dual, quiet outdated really, but with a custom ROM, it still works fine. Though, this too, is not a Phone to take selfies with.
