Cyanogen is constantly trying to race to the top, and a couple of the industry leaders help the company reach its goals. The creators of the CyanogenMod have hired two high profile engineers from Qualcomm and Amazon.

The one hired from Amazon is the former Amazon engineering leader Stephen Lawler and he will be the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Cyanogen. The other one is Karthick Iyer, the engineering lead at Qualcomm who will take over as the new Vice President of Global Systems at Cyanogen.

Undoubtedly, Cyanogen is growing as companies such as Twitter, Qualcomm, Foxconn and others are pumping millions into the Android ROM maker. Their plan is to continue the global expansion and platform growth that was the prime reason for hiring such highly talented personalities in the industry.

Cyanogen recently lost its significant partner OnePlus, but that does not mark the end of its Asian market presence. The company aims to partner with prominent Chinese manufacturers, but the names are yet to be revealed.
