WARNING!

You only are responsible for your device. We won’t be liable if any damage occurs to your device and/or its components.

CHECK DEVICE MODEL NO.

To make sure your device is eligible with this, you must first confirm its model no. in ‘About device’ option under Settings. Another way to confirm model no. is by looking for it on the packaging box of your device. It must be V500!

Do not use the procedures discussed here on any device of LG or any other company. You have been warned!

BEFORE YOU BEGIN..

You must do this pre-installation stuff before attempting to install CWM recovery on your LG G Pad 8.3 in order to avoid any complications later, and have a smooth and successful process.

BACK UP YOUR DEVICE

Back up important data and stuff before you start playing around here as there are chances you might lose your apps and app-data (app settings, game progress, etc.), and in rare case, files on the internal memory, too.

when I open the 1-click-cwm-recovery-installer.bat file, it opens up giving me some information and prompts me to click any key to continue. when I do this, it states that it has recognized my LG G Pad, but it then stops and brings up a line that says “shell@android:/ $” I know have the option to type things. What do i do?

Hi, just paste the remaining commands from the .bat file into the box (step by step), worked fine for me

I ended up just flashing the . Lok and . Loki files within the package with flashify on my g pad. But thanks anyways

Sorry for replying this old comment, but i´m in the same situtation right now. I wan´t to flash a recovery but no method worked so far. When I start the .bat file, it stops at “Shell@awifi…”. Which commands do i have to paste now and where are they? (I´m on stock 4.4.2 Kitkat)

          Hi Chris
1 I rooted my pad http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2553192 (maybe this is not necessary)
          2 ran “1-click-cwm-recovery-installer.bat”
3 then I opened the bat-file with a text editor and pasted every single line (from where it stopped) into the command prompt and hit “enter” after every command
voila! hope that helps… or do it like brandon 😉

Thank you for your answer 🙂 I have just tried it but it seems like it doesn´t work for me. After the command “adb push loki_flash /data/local/tmp” it says “error: device not found”. So i think i´ll try flashify…again. So far i´ve only tried to flash the cwm-recovery itselft with flashify, maybe it works with .Lok files.

What if my LG G Pad model isn’t listed? Not for TWRP or CWM?
