Moto C Plus

Of late, rumor had it that Motorola will be unveiling an all new Moto C-series handsets very soon. And just yesterday, image renders of what’s being referred to as the Moto C and Moto C Plus surfaced online, giving us insights on what to expect from these devices visually.

Rumors suggest that the Moto C series smartphones will be among the most affordable handsets Lenovo’s subsidiary has ever produced. Also, judging by the rumors specs, both these handsets look strictly entry-level. Perhaps, the company is targeting the first time smartphone buyers with its new series.

Let’s take a quick look at the rumored specs of both the smartphones.

Moto C Specs

  • Display: 5.0-inch FWVGA (854 x 480)
  • Processor: 32-bit MediaTek chipset clocked at 1.3GHz
  • RAM: 1GB
  • Storage: 8GB or 16GB based on region (expandable)
  • Rear Camera: 5MP along with flash
  • Front Camera: 2MP along with flash

Moto C Plus Specs

Clearly, the biggest difference between both the handsets comes in terms of the battery capacity. Also, the standard Moto C is tipped to be launched in two variants: one that supports 3G and the other with 4G support. Whereas, the bigger Plus variant is expected to be strictly 4G LTE capable.

Design-wise both the phones will look very similar to the current Moto G series handsets. However, there won’t be any fingerprint scanner on either of the handsets.

There’s no word on the pricing details of the smartphone yet. We will keep you updated should something solid surface online.

  1. These phones seem under-powered for android 7.0, but it seems like price will be a good reason to buy.

  2. yes in my opinion talking about mediatek bulit in soc phones are worthless.

  3. I thought that the Moto E series would be the most basic phones, but then Lenovo goes ahead and produces another line in the already saturated market. There’s the Moto E, G, X, Z, and now C. If I was not a phone enthusiast, I would not be able to differietate between any of these.

    1. Yeh I agree, Motorola’s naming structure is a bit odd, bu i still like it.
