Canadian Galaxy S3 Will Have 2GB RAM!

It’s official. The Samsung Galaxy S3 hitting the Canadian market will have 2GB of RAM, just like the NTT DoCoMo version in Japan. That’s a whole 1 gig of extra RAM over the international variant, which will make it virtually impossible to eat up all the RAM no matter how many apps you may have running in the background.

And as earlier rumored, the quad-core Exynos 4 Quad processor will be replaced by a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Qualcomm processor (which is a powerful chip in its own right) in order to support the North American 4G LTE networks. Prospective customers in Canada will be able to pick one up from June 20th.

Considering both the Japanese and Canadian variants will be featuring 2GB of RAM along with the dual-core S4 processor, it would be a pretty accurate guess that the US variant will also have the same amount of RAM. It is being rumored that the US variant will be making its first appearance on June 20th as well, on T-Mobile, but that remains to be seen.

Phew, 2GB of RAM. Fair compensation for losing two processor cores, wouldn’t you say?
