The new Android related domain of BlackBerry has become landing portals for BES on the Android platform. Of course, a BlackBerry phone with Android operating system is all set to be launched in the coming months.
Now, a report suggests that BlackBerry is in talks with the Taiwanese device manufacturers such as Compal, Foxconn and Wistron to make not one, but multiple Android based smartphone that will be launched some time later this year.
The ODMs will be responsible for both the production of these smartphones and also for the cost involved in distribution and marketing as well. This will eventually reduce the risk that BlackBerry will be taking in the Android domain.
The previous reports suggest that BlackBerry is prepping a an Android based BlackBerry Venice smartphone. Also, the company’s CEO tipped that he will not cease to explore the possibility of making an Android smartphone.
