AutoVoice 3.0 update brings support for Google Home, Amazon Echo and IFTTT integration

We live in a time when Voice assistants and their underlying ‘AI’ are all the rage. Google Assistant, Samsung Bixby, HTC Sense Companion, Amazon Alexa, the list goes on and yet our demands never seem to satiate. While every Google Assistant has its pros and cons, a user hopes for some sort of integration and/or customization among the various smart devices they posses. After all, how ‘smart‘ is a device if all it can do is function within its own ecosystem?

In comes AutoVoice by Jaomgcd and in all honesty the app is unlike any other that you will find on the Google Play Store. AutoVoice enables you to add custom voice commands to Google Now/Assistant and Amazon Echo, say voice commands from your Mac, Windows, Linux PC or any another Android device and the whole process takes less than a minute to set up a new voice command.

For our rooted friends out there, AutoVoice integrates with Tasker to create custom commands and events in your profiles. Never has the setup and addition of features to a native assistant been this easier!

The latest AutoVoice 3.0 update brings in some major changes to the app which are mentioned down below:

  • Google Home/Amazon Echo integration: Simply saying “Hey Google” or “Alexa” followed by “open AutoVoice” say any AutoVoice command right from your personal assistant.
  • Natural Language: Tired of having to remember the exact command that triggers your setup in AutoVoice and wish you could say commands however you wanted? Just speak naturally and AutoVoice will understand your commands with the help of natural language machine learning provided by API.AI.
  • IFTTT Integration: You can now trigger IFTTT recipes directly from AutoVoice with natural language commands. For example, easily post a tweet straight from AutoVoice.
  • Easy Regular (non-natural language) Commands: Simply write all the variations of a command and AutoVoice will trigger the Tasker profile when it hears any of them.

Using the app might seem to be a daunting task on the first go but over time you get the gist of the app and its complex workings, partly thanks to the tutorials provided by app’s developer. The possibilities with AutoVoice are endless, the only thing that might be stopping you may very well be your imagination. Remember, sky’s the limit.

Unfortunately, the free AutoVoice version only works for a total of 7 days after which your commands will be reduced to 4 character length and you will be asked to purchase the unlocked version. Give the app a try and fall in love with the features that it offers before deciding to buy the paid version.
