Since two years, Samsung has been involved in the process of launching different variants of its flagship smartphones. Likewise, there were reports that the vendor will be announcing an Active variant of its Galaxy S6. Also, a strange device appeared in the user agent profile suggesting the same.
The model number of the device that has popped up (SM-G890A) on the user agent profile bears a striking resemblance to that of the Galaxy S5 Active launched last year on AT&T. This tips that the device could be the updated one and a variant of the Galaxy S6. But, the leak does not reveal anything other than the 2K screen resolution.
However, a SamMobile report confirms more details about the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active for AT&T. As per the report citing sources, the device will have specifications that will keep Samsung loyalists drooling.
Well, the Galaxy S6 Active is reportedly claimed to arrive with a 3,500 mAh battery that is a significant bump from the 2,550 mAh battery in the Galaxy S6. It is also said to measure 73.6 x 146.9 x 8.8mm in dimensions that is wider, taller and thicker as well than the Galaxy S6. But, the inclusion of a larger battery and ruggedness justify the increase in dimensions.
We need to wait for an official confirmation from Samsung to know more about the Galaxy S6 Active and its whopping battery’s capabilities.
