AT&T Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus get update with DayDream support and many other fixes

The wait is over for the AT&T users of Galaxy S8 and S8+. AT&T has pushed a new update that finally brings the Daydream support. After Verizon, AT&T is the second operator to push DayDream support for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+.

The update, which is an OTA update arrives as software version G950USQU1AQGL for S8 and G955USQU1AQGL for S8+. It weighs around 490-491 MB.

Besides the DayDream support, the update also brings the August security patch. As is the case with any security patch, the update takes care of various security vulnerabilities.

In addition to that, the update brings navigation bar auto-hide and AGIF support. If you have been keeping track, Verizon also included these changes in its recent S8 and S8+ update. Plus, the update brings Network performance enhancements and many UX changes.

Further, you can also expect performance and stability improvements in Email, Calendar, and Messaging app.  Also, the update brings Bluetooth and Knox updates.

The update also includes various other under-the-hood performance improvements as well as other minor system enhancements too.

It is advisable to connect to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update and keep your handset charged as high as 50 percent.

If you haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually via the device settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates.
