After Sprint and Verizon, AT&T is now rolling out Android Nougat update to Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge units. In addition, the AT&T exclusive Galaxy S6 Active is also getting the Nougat sweetness.
Arriving as build number G920AUCU6EQCF to all the three devices, the update also brings ‘other fixes and enhancements’ along with the Nougat update. Amongst the enhancements are addition of Samsung Cloud and Samsung Pass. The fixes include regular bugs as well as removal of pre-installed AT&T Address Book and MobiTV apps.
The April monthly security patch is also bundled with the Nougat update. The update which is hitting Galaxy S6 units weighs at around 1.2GB while the S6 Edge update weighs 1.3GB. As for the file size of the Nougat update being received by Galaxy S6 Active, it is somewhere between 1.21GB and 1.28GB.

As is obvious, the update is a major one and is recommended for all users of Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Active on the AT&T network. It is being rolled out over the air and as such may take a while to appear on your device. But if waiting is not your thing, you may want to check for it right away which you can do by heading to Settings > About device > System updates.
Now I am really impressed. The Active line was expected to be sidelined by everyone, even the owners of the phone. No one bought that phone looking forward to software updates and no one would have blinked an eye if Samsung never updated it too but they actually went ahead and did it. It will surely make a lot of the active owners happy with the pleasant surprise and increase customer loyalty by a big margin
