Let’s see how to install the latest SuperNexus ROM on your AT&T Galaxy S2 (SGH-I777).

  WARNING!

Warranty may be void of your device if you follow the procedures given on this page.

You only are responsible for your device. We won’t be liable if any damage occurs to your device and/or its components.

AT&T GALAXY S2 SUPERNEXUS ROM INSTALLATION

If your android device powers off due to lack of battery while the process is underway, it could damage the device.

So, make sure your device is adequately charged — at least 50% battery of the device.

STEP 0: CHECK DEVICE MODEL NO.

To make sure your device is eligible with this, you must first confirm its model no. in ‘About device’ option under Settings. Another way to confirm model no. is by looking for it on the packaging box of your device. It must be SGH-I777!

Please know that this page is meant only for AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2, model no. SGH-I777. Please DO NOT try the procedures given here on other variants of the Galaxy S2: GT-I9100/Sprint Galaxy S2/Verizon Galaxy S2. Also, do not use the procedures discussed here on any other Galaxy device or any other company. You have been warned!

  STEP 1: BACKUP YOUR DEVICE:

Back up important data and stuff before you start playing around here as there are chances you might lose your apps and app-data (app settings, game progress, etc.), and in rare case, files on the internal memory, too.

For help on Backup and Restore, check out our exclusive page on that linked right below.

ANDROID BACK UP AND RESTORE GUIDE: APPS AND TIPS

STEP 2: INSTALL THE LATEST CWM RECOVERY

Skip this step if you already have latest version of CWM recovery installed on your device.

Make sure your device is rooted and CWM/TWRP recovery is present. Without the above requirements you will not be able to install the SuperNexus ROM.

  STEP 3: INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

About-this-device (in phone settings) reports that my phone is an SGH-i777. The phone is rooted and running Android 4.2.1. However, when i tried to install ROM, installation was terminated with the message that this Rom is for “…, SGH-i777… ” and indicated that this phone is “.” Seems that the ROM install can’t recognize my phone’s model number. Any ideas?
