AT&T could soon start selling Huawei smartphones

As per a new report, Huawei is in talks with U.S. carrier AT&T, to sell its smartphones in the country. The report states that AT&T is testing Huawei smartphones, powered by HiSilicon Kirin chipsets, on its network.

So far, Huawei did not have much of a presence in the United States. Yes, you can purchase Huawei smartphones from Huawei in US. But if this deal goes through, then the company would be able to gain more market share in the country. Huawei is the third largest smartphone maker, by sales figures.

The company has big plans for its future, as it is eyeing world domination when it comes to smartphones. It is just behind Apple and Samsung in terms of sales numbers. Selling its phones via carriers would help it gain more brand awareness and sales.

Huawei is selling their latest P10 series of smartphones in Canada via Rogers, Fido and Bell. It would be great for the company if this partnership with AT&T actually works out. Even if the Kirin chipsets are given a go ahead from AT&T, Huawei still has to come up with a proposal, which needs approval as well.
