Asus Zenfone 4, 5 and 6 won’t get Marshmallow update!

You know, Zenfone 5 was an excellent device, one that only got hurt by Lollipop update, even though one would expect performance improvements and all sorts of goodness with that.

May be that is why Asus has dropped the idea altogether of updating the 1st Gen Zenfone devices to Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, even though the update is within two years of devices’ release — which is why Asus is wrong to deny its pretty successful device of the year 2014 latest Android update.

For you information, Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 are three main devices that fill the 1st Gen Zenfone criteria, and thus won’t see an update to Android 6.0.

A moderator at official Asus forums dropped the bad news, but that’s not all he had to say.

Rather awkwardly, he admitted that he doesn’t have any knowledge of any work going on as regards Marshmallow update for 2nd Gen Zenfone sets. Duh! What’s wrong with Asus?

After impressing in 2014 with Zenfone 5 and its cousins, the company’s falling way short of expectations.

  1. Yeah, ASUS is the worst company in updating their devices. That’s why they are selling less phones this year that’s because people care about software updates.

That is so funny to know that the tablets they released with android 4.4 like tf103 & tf303 are not going to get android 5 !
