Asus had our attention right-on with the unveiling of its Zenfone 2 smartphone, which apart from looking aesthetically good will also be the first smartphone to feature 4GB RAM on-board. Moreover, we were highly impressed with the efforts Asus put to its Zenfone series of phones in 2014, most importantly the ZenUI, which, if you ask us, is the best custom user interface you’ll find on Android and it’s now seeing an upgrade with the Zenfone 2 and Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Asus Zenfone 2 will come with plenty of new features, thanks to the new ZenUI and the powerful hardware of the device which includes 64-bit Quad-Core Intel Atom Processor Z3580 clocked at 2.3 GHz, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, 5.5″ 1080p display, 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, and 3000 mAh battery.
The Zenfone 2 is rumored to hit the markets on March 9, and for the more interested users, the device is already up for pre-order over at AliExpress with worldwide shipping.

Customizable Fonts
You’ll be able to change fonts on the Zenfone 2 with the support for FlipFonts.

ZenMotion
ZenMotion enables you to do simple everyday tasks with ease with the help of gestures. The feature is further divided into two groups: Motion Gesture and Touch Gesture.
Motion Gesture let’s you do the following things with gestures:
- Hands up to answer phone call
- Shake Shake to postpone tasks in to do list
- Flip to mute phone call and music
- Double tap to mute an incoming call
- Draw letters on screen to launch app, works even when screen is off
Touch Gesture brings you the double-tap-to-wake-screen feature that saves you the pain of pressing power button to turn on the screen. Also, there’s a double tap home key to activate one hand mode for ease of use.
Kids Mode
The Kids Mode feature of Zenfone 2 will you to lockdown your phone to only the things you want kids to do while they have access to the device. You can set playtime, passowrd protect answering/rejecting calls, etc.
Animated Icons
This is a very interesting feature. App icons on your Zenfone 2 will show live information, like the weather app’s icon will show weather info, Calendar icon will show the current date, and many more such icons.
Private Contacts and Messaging
This privacy feature will enable you to securely and privately chat with contacts that you mark as private. This will keep your private people behind a password, not accessible by anyone having access to your device.

Cover View
Smart cover for Zenfone 2 will enable access to the device right through the circular opening on the cover to do basic things like read messages, make calls, play music, etc.
24/7 Help
The MyAsus app on Zenfone 2 will enable you to directly chat with an Asus representative right for any questions you may have.
