Asus X00ID with Android 7.1.1 and dual camera spotted online

Asus is working on a new device which comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The device should soon be launched as it has been spotted on benchmarking site GFXBench. Bearing the model number Asus X00ID, it is hard to guess exactly to which series does this phone belong.

But going by specsheet details provided by the GFXBech listing, this Asus phone definitely looks like a low-end mid-ranger hovering just over the affordable slab. The listing shows a 5.5-inch HD display with an octa-core CPU clocked at 1.4 GHz which we believe is Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, given that the GPU mentioned is Qualcomm Adreno 505. Now this is the same processor that powers Moto G5, thus it is granted that the phone will come with Quick Charge support and have a long lasting battery.

The Asus X00ID will pack in 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The most impressive spec listed is the dual camera set up on the phone with 12MP+5MP sensors while on the front there will be an 8MP selfie shooter. Now, although the specifications shown by GFXBench at times turn out to be not so accurate, we believe that the rear dual cameras in this phone might be genuine as the SoC shown does come with full support for dual camera configurations and sensors up to 21MP.

The specs look interesting and given that this should be come just around the affordable range category, Asus looks like having done the job right here. However, we would better hold our tongues now, as we expect details about the name of this phone and confirmed specsheet to emerge soon.
