Asus upgrades PadFone S with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage!

Asus just launched a new variant of its PadFone S in Taiwan, which will have 3GB RAM and storage of 64GB. The original PadFone S that was released back in July 2014 featured 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage. The microSD card support is also retained, btw. That’s really a nice upgrade to PadFone S, and the old version too is still available, under discount now of course.

We don’t have a model no. to share with you guys of the new PadFone S variant, but is you living in Taiwan, you must consider the PadFone S before buying your new smartphone.

Other specs of the new PadFone S include 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU, and Full HD 5″ IPS+ display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, with PPI of 441. Padfone S also features a 13MP camera at its rear, and there’s a 2MP camera in the front for snapping the selfies. Though, the Selfie option in the camera’s app is what you would like to use for selfies, because it uses the rear camera, and automatically clicks the snap by recognizing your face — you just have to hold the device.

The Padfone S runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, still, but is aided by ZenUI from Asus, which is incredible piece of a custom skin — that helps greatly in everyday use with extraordinary set of simple features, including in-build backup without root, of apps with or without data. The LTE 4G LTE supporting PadFone S features a 2300mAh battery, and is a waterproof handset.

READ: Why Asus ZenFone 5 is best budget phone?

We’re a big fan of ZenUI, and the Asus’ own apps, be it the dialer, contacts, music, camera (incredible!), or messaging, to name a few.

In can be said that Asus ZenUI is inspired by HTC Sense, and it packs in more useful features than even the Galaxy S5. ZenUI and Asus apps are a complete set of software to help Android 4.4, and it looks good too.

Lastly, the Asus PadFone 5 is available in two colors: black, and white. The build of PadFone S is very pleasing, too, as such, PadFone S really is a striking option to buy.
