Asus Nexus 7 32 GB priced $249 at Walmart, too. 16GB drops to $199

Earlier today, despite the gloom being felt about Hurricane Sandy causing Google to cancel their big event, news that Office Depot had started putting up the Nexus 7 32GB on display, and were taking orders cheered us up a bit. Of course, as the day went by, Google made it up to us, by announcing four new Nexus devices, and unveiling what Android 4.2 would bring with it.  And if that wasn’t good enough, here’s some more news that should extend your smile even further.

It turns out that Office Depot is not the only one to start listing the  new tablet. Walmart’s website now lists the Nexus 7 32GB in stock, and is accepting orders with a shipping date of November 5th. More great news – like at Office Depot, the 16GB Nexus 7 is available for $199. The 8GB Nexus 7 seems to have been taken off the listing and is no longer available.

If you’ve been wanting to get one, this is your chance. We suspect that retailers are not going to have a hard time making sure that stocks are moving, and if you’ve been dreaming of one, you’ll have to act fast.

  1. What is Google going to do for the folks that bought their Nexus 7 for fifty bucks higher than their going for now? Less than 2 months ago, I purchased a Nexus 7 8GB for $199.00+. Now their selling the 16GB Nexus 7 for the same price ?????
    Not good for business…..

    1. Yeah, hate is understandable. I bought the 16 GB one for 250 bucks too but actually, I don’t regret it at all. Because it’s still a great product. So what the price is down by $50 now, or 16 gigs added to that very price tag, but I still love my N7 like before 😛

But have learnt a lesson, if there is a Google event scheduled in next 2 months, better watch out! There could be price reduction on nexus devices (tho, does not possible now on N7 and Nexus 4 as they already rock bottom priced. But yeah, so was 8 GB Nexus 7, no? 😀
