Google Play Store just received a minor update to v5.0.37, the last update that we received was v5.0.31 which brought along heavy user interface changes, mostly related to Material design. The v5.0.37 update rolling out today, doesn’t seem to bring anything new so we’ll take it as bug fixer update.

We also did receive a non-official update (v5.0.32) in-between from the Android 5.0 final preview builds for Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 2013. Anyway, the first Android 5.0 Lollipop running device, Nexus 9, will start shipping on November 3. So it’s Google preparing for the Android 5.0’s public launch with all the Material design updates that we saw in last couple of days.

Coming back to the point, the Play store update to v5.0.37 doesn’t bring anything new to the table but it still doesn’t hurt to install it, right? Because, after all, an update is an update. And the savvy people like us need to install it.

As you know, the update will be rolled gradually. But you can install it now by downloading the apk from the link below.

Install the Play Store apk normally like you’d install any other APK file on your Android device.
