Android O delayed, likely to be named on August 21

Android 8.0 (O)

The upcoming version of Android OS i.e. Android 8 or Android O will replace Android Nougat that was launched last year. Looks like we would have to wait for few more days to taste Android O.

Android O was supposed to launch this week or next week. However, according to a reliable source, the Android O release date has been pushed back by few weeks due to known reasons.

Also, as we are aware, the Android O is still without a name, the source suggests that Google will likely give a name to the Android O on the day of solar eclipse i.e. August 21st. So, Android O could be launched either on August 21 or after that, not before that.

Until today, Google has received four Android developer previews for supported Nexus and Pixel devices. Android O brings features such as app badges, revamped settings interface, snooze notifications, new emojis among other great features.

What will Android O be called? What are your guesses? Let us know in the comments below.
