Android 4.4.3 Update for Moto X, E and G rolling out, Camera improvements and Motorola Alert app included

That was quick! It has only been one and a half day since Google released the Android 4.4.3  update to its Nexus line-up devices, and Motorola has already announced the Android 4.4.3 roll out for its Moto E, Moto G and Moto X devices.

Not all the Moto E, G and X devices from all over the world will receive this update at the same time which is quite understandable. But the roll out will start today, as stated by Motorola, and the update will be available for the following Moto devices immediately:

  • T-Mobile variant of Moto X
  • Moto G devices that are bought online in the U.S. including the Moto G 4G LTE, and at retail in Brazil
  • Moto E devices that are bought online in the U.S.

The latest update includes an improved dialer with a new interface and new colors, and several stability, framework, security fixes and enhancements. The update also includes an improved camera image quality for Moto X including better consistency of exposure, more realistic flash coloring, and improved photos in low light conditions using front camera. The Moto X and Moto G users can now pause the video recording with a refreshed pause button on the viewfinder and also includes the Motorola Alert app which lets you send messages to your friends about your location.

This is just the start of the Android 4.4.3 KitKat roll out and quite possibly Motorola would release the updates for their other devices which are supported for KitKat. The OTA updates are not captured yet and so there are no download links to manually update your Moto devices yet. We know it’s quite sad to wait for the update but we will provide the download links once we get hold of them, so stay tuned for further updates.
