Android 4.2 Features and LG Nexus 4 show up on video

Google has already cancelled today’s NYC event where they were all but certain to officially announce the LG Nexus 4, but an official video of the Nexus 4 in action made by carrier 3 was put up on Swedroid anyway (later pulled), giving us a look at the device’s design, as well as a look at Android 4.2.

Everyone knows exactly how the Nexus 4 looks like thanks to numerous leaked images, but it is still nice to see it officially in a video. It looks sleek, understated, and all-in-all very classy (not much different than the Galaxy Nexus), no doubt helped by the logo-less front. Android 4.2 runs quite smoothly on it, which is unsurprising considering all the power under the Nexus 4’s hood, and the video also shows off the new notifications menu, which now contains toggles for Wi-Fi, screen brightness, etc, accessible by a button press after dragging down the status bar. Also, it seems Google has put Chrome as the default browser, just like on the Nexus 7 (not sure I’m okay with that considering Chrome is still rough around the edges).

Now, stop reading and go ahead and watch the video below.
