Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update released for Galaxy S3 in South Korea

The mighty Samsung Galaxy S3 was unleashed across geographies, running the “then” latest version of Android OS – 4.0 a.k.a Ice Cream Sandwich. There was never a doubt that it would receive the official upgrade to Android 4.1 or Jelly Bean as it is more popularly known.

So here it is finally: the official Android 4.1 update has been released for the Samsung Galaxy S3. Hold your breath for a moment though, as this update is currently out only on home turf, for the Korean Galaxy S3 SHW-M440S.

The upgrade to Android 4.1 has been said to bring about various usability improvements, along with a couple of nifty features as the ability to pause movies during recording, and a Smart Rotation feature.
