For Amazon Prime members purchasing the Amazon Fire TV Stick, the online retailer is giving away Rs 499 as cashback while non-Prime customers will get a 1-year subscription to the Prime video service, which also includes fast delivery for select items.

Indian ISPs bandwidth and speeds have a lot of distance to cover before they are worthy of being stand alone wifi sources for TV streaming and a complete cable replacement like in the US and most of Europe. That will surely be a hindering feature with this product also.
