As expected, Amazon has launched the Fire TV Stick in India today. Priced at Rs 3,999, the popular streaming device from Amazon has gone up for sale on the e-commerce website and includes an Alexa voice remote.

For Amazon Prime members purchasing the Amazon Fire TV Stick, the online retailer is giving away Rs 499 as cashback while non-Prime customers will get a 1-year subscription to the Prime video service, which also includes fast delivery for select items.

Other exclusive offers for buyers of Amazon Fire TV Stick include free EROS NOW premium membership for 3 months and ad-free streaming on gaana.com for 6 months. You will also get 100 GB free data for Airtel Broadband for 3 months and 4G Home WiFi devices. YOU Broadband users will also receive 240 GB free data over 3 months.

The Fire TV Stick can be bought over at Amazon India. Croma and Reliance Digital Stores will also sell the device, but only in select Indian cities as of now.

  7. Indian ISPs bandwidth and speeds have a lot of distance to cover before they are worthy of being stand alone wifi sources for TV streaming and a complete cable replacement like in the US and most of Europe. That will surely be a hindering feature with this product also.
