Amazon Appstore Android app gets a new look, Android 4.2 compatibility

Amazon has updated their Appstore app for Android to version 4.3.14.3C, which brings along quite a few changes. The app has gotten a new refreshed look that is more in line with how it looks on Amazon’s own Kindle Fire HD tablets, and there is also a fix for the issue of having to re-login to your Amazon account every time you switched between users on Android 4.2 using the multi-user feature.

Other changes include a battery drain fix, ability to remove apps from My Apps via long press, and “other bug fixes and stability enhancements”. All in all quite a useful update that will be welcomed by users of Amazon’s alternative to the Google Play Store.

Grab the updated Amazon Appstore app from the source link below, or update it to the latest version from within the app if it installed on your device.

  1. I’ve installed it but it just force-closes on my Nexus 7. Is anyone else experiencing that?
