How to Add Multi User to Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge and Note 7

Google introduced Multi User support to Android 2 years back with Android 5.0 Lollipop update. However, Samsung has continually kept the feature off on all of its Android devices, no matter if they run on Lollipop or higher version of Android.

We guess it was security concern for Samsung that made them take this decision, because they have Knox and other stuff going on. Anyway, good news is you can enable Multi User on your Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and Note 7 easily by simply adding a couple of lines to the build.prop file on your device.

You can edit build.prop file with easily on a rooted device. However, if you don’t want to root your phone, just install TWRP recovery we’ll guide you on how to edit build.prop from there without rooting the device.

How to Add Multi User on Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge and Note 7

As said above, you need to add a couple of lines to the build.prop file to add multi user support on your phone. You can do this with or without root (twrp required). Follow the guides below for that:

Once you decide on how you want to edit build.prop file using either of the methods above, go ahead and the following two lines to your device’s build.prop file.

Fw.max_users=3
Fw.show_multiuserui=1

That’s all. Don’t forget to reboot your phone after editing build.prop file.
