Iconia A700 Specs

Okay, the Galaxy Note 10.1 might have an improved-from-last-year S-Pen to boast off, but Acer has simply dropped the price of its new Iconia A700 tablet to bare $449, not only to effectively entice all android tablet prospective buyers to look no where else than than the Iconia 700, but also remove some shine off Samsung;s best tablet in Note 10.1.

Before we head to see out the Iconia A700 specs, let us tell you that the A700 would come in two colors: black and silver, both costing all the same.

Acer Iconia A700 is no slouch when it comes to looks, and at that $449 pricing and for such mouth-watering specs, anyone who knows about it would find it hard to drop off from his/her plans of buying it, at least unless you are completely sold over the S-Pen, a Galaxy Note 10.1 unique when it comes to proper tablets.

Acer Iconia A700 Tab Specifications

At just $449 – really – you get all the goodies you would expect from a tablet (except the Note 10.1 special S-Pen):

  • Quad-core Tegra 3 processor
No mention of clock rates but we guess it would 1.5GHz, like the HTC One X android phone.
  • Android 4.0 ice Cream Sandwich
Anything less is simply unthinkable, let alone unacceptable for upcoming tablets
  • Full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels
Awesome! Can’t ask more from Acer (even though we could, an iPad-ish display, you know), especially at $449
  • 10.1 inches wide diagonally
A standard size of all flagship tablet devices for almost all manufacturers. But there are exceptions, of course. Anyway, we are totally cool with it.
  • 5 MP rear camera and another HD-capable camera in front (no mention of lens quality)
This is nice, too! For a tablet, 5MP will do just fine. And an HD capable front cam is all we would need for video chat and stuff
  • 1GB RAM
An industry standard now, so no biggie here
  • 32 GB storage
Well, 16 GB could have done it too, but kudos to Acer for 32 gigs of storage space
  • Micro HDMI
  • Wi-Fi (no 3G or 4G or LTE here, obviously, at that price)
  • MicroSD card support for more storage hungry people
  • 13 hours of battery life (officially claimed, that is)

So, that was about the Acer Iconia A700 Specifications thing. You know, you don’t need to look twice at that spec-sheet – at just $449, it’s simply the best tablet you can get. Everything aside, the Quad-core processor, Android 4.0 ice Cream Sandwich and full HD 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution makes it our favorite tablet.

What do you say?
