3G Nexus 7 spotted in Taiwan clearing NCC, it’s a 32 GB model, price and release not available yet

Only a person who has been living under a rock and hasn’t seen daylight for the last couple of months will ignore the fact that the 32GB variant of the Nexus 7 exists and is coming soon. This time, the 32GB Nexus 7 has been spotted in Taiwan passing certification at the NCC, and guess what, it has 3G connectivity as well!

The NCC lists the tablet as “Asus Pad” with model number ME370TG, with support for GSM/DCS/WCDMA/WLAN/Bluetooth/NFC connectivity, and we all know what GSM/WCDMA means, don’t we? That’s right, mobile data access. Also, a leaked screenshot shows the ME370TG as having 32GB of storage (27.58GB usable), indicating that Google is working on a Nexus 7 with larger storage as well as a Nexus 7 with both higher storage and 3G connectivity.

The release date or price aren’t available yet, though with both 32GB of storage onboard as well as 3G connectivity, we can rest assured that seeing another $199 or $250 Nexus tablet has slim chances. But even at a price of $300, it will still be one of the best tablets around, and with the Apple iPad Mini around the corner, it just might be what Google needs to fend off competition from the smaller iPad.

Needless to say, we’ll be keeping a close eye on this, so stay tuned for more info and details.
